CNC Equipment Operator

Job summary:

The position is responsible for set up and operations of plasma, waterjet and/or saw cutting equipment in the processing of stainless steel and nickel alloy. The position must assure that proper customer specifications and tolerances are maintained thru the manufacturing process to assure the highest product quality.

Essential functions:

  1. Responsible for loading and unloading cutting machines
  2. Responsible for the proper set-up and settings on the machines for high quality
  3. Operation of and monitoring of machine during cutting
  4. Proper unloading of the semi-finished parts
  5. Replacement of beds when needed
  6. Performs misc job related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High Diploma
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overheads cranes
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (steel warehouse preferred)
  • Operational knowledge of steel cutting equipment
  • Able to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read blue prints, tape measures, thickness gauges a plus
  • Lift up to 75 lbs

One of our subsidiaries, Jacquet UK Ltd, currently have a sales position available at their Milton Keynes office.

Candidates will ideally be based in the South East/South Midlands and will be required to develop sales of Nickel Alloys and Stainless Steel products.

The position:

This exciting new role will be 75% external / 25% internal, with responsibility for key accounts throughout the UK and commitment to undertake a high level of quality customer visits. The successful applicant will work closely together with the general manager and existing sales team.

Previous experience in stainless steel processing and knowledge of high nickel alloys/duplex material will be an advantage, although training in the full product range will be provided. Proven sales experience and a knowledge of relevant market sectors would be required.

We are the leading processor of these products within Europe, and are looking to expand sales in the UK.
